The discovery of mold in your home or business can be stressful, but we are here to help you take your space back!

Time is of the essence when it comes to protecting your home and avoiding secondary damage. There is no need to wait until Monday or wait until the morning. We have First Responders on call 24/7/365!

MC Shine Mold Remediation:
What to Expect

  1. A First Responder will assess the damage to your home or business. They will identify and assess affected areas. They will also take information from you, photos of the area, and discuss the scope of services.
  2. The First Responder will give a general idea of what the scope of the project will be. They will discuss any potential concerns. There will be documentation for you to sign to authorize services to begin. Due to the complexity of the situation, fire, soot, or smoke damages are not typically given an estimated cost before services begin.
  3. Once all documentation is complete, Technicians will come to your home and begin services.
  4. If you are going to make an insurance claim, you are responsible for contacting your insurance company and initiating the claim. You can tell them you hired MC Shine and give them our contact information. You must also provide your adjuster’s name, phone and email and give that to the First Responder or Sales Manager. You will not be alone, our account coordinators and First Reponsders will be with you every step of the way.

Our Services

Services include but are not limited to:

  • Containment of the affected area
    • Thick plastic barriers will contain any air particles and odors in one area.
  • Equipment will be placed
    • An Air Scrubber will be placed in the containment area, this will filter the air to remove particulates. This will also assist in creating a negative air environment to prevent contaminants from entering other areas of your home or business.
    • A Dehumidifier may be used in the area if there is excess moisture detected. We will control the environment while completing services. We may recommend purchasing a dehumidifier for the area for future use.
  • Pack Out
    • In the event that there is a large amount of content in the affected area, those items will be documented, packed with care, and removed from the area. This is very common in kitchens. The contents can be left at your home or business, or stored at our secure facility while services are
      being rendered.
  • Mold Remediation
    • The structure of the building will be cleaned from top to bottom, this includes walls, ceilings, and floors. They will be HEPA-vacuumed to remove any debris.
    • There are several different products that can be used to remediate mold effectively. The type used for your services will be completely based upon the specifics of the need. The product will be applied to the area and allowed to dwell based on the manufacturer’s guidelines, and the process will be repeated as necessary.
    • Depending on the circumstances, we may recommend the removal of building materials such as drywall, flooring, cabinetry, etc.
    • We will schedule services to be completed; typically, this can take several days to several weeks, depending on the size of the damage.
  • Content Cleaning
    • Content may need to be cleaned as well, this can include anything in your home that is not secured to the structure itself. Examples are dishes, furniture, keepsakes, etc.
    • Content can sometimes be cleaned at your home or business, and some may need to be taken site to our facility. This process will be discussed to determine the best course of action.
    • Content will be returned to the original placement at the completion of services.
    • Depending on the circumstances, we may recommend the disposal of content that does not hold significant value.
